Artist, French, 1880 - 1954

The artwork presents a street scene with a winding road extending into the distance. Closest to us, a solitary figure walks along the road, heading toward a cluster of buildings. The horizon shows rolling hills and low mountains, painted in browns and purples, visible beyond the buildings. The sky occupies a large portion of the composition, rendered in soft, earthy tones with hints of blue and gray. On the left, trees with textured, swirling brushstrokes are present, while on the right, the walls of a building with distinct vertical strokes are visible. The overall color palette is warm, featuring earthy yellows and greens.
