The engraving shows a person from the shoulders upwards, in a semi-profile position looking to the right. The person has expressive eyes, a straight nose, and slightly parted lips. Their curly hair cascades around the head and shoulders. They wear an ornate headpiece with plumes and decorative motifs, and clothing with a patterned design and embroidered collar. The person holds a piece of cloth or scroll, with their hand partially visible on a ledge. The background is plain with linear shading for depth. An inscription at the bottom reads "I. Matham Inv. I. Eschem scalu" with the date 1613.
