This is a painting of two hummingbirds amidst foliage and flowers. The hummingbirds are depicted in detail with shades of green, red, and iridescent hues. They are near blue and white flowers, on a moss-covered stone surrounded by green foliage with wide leaves. The background is a softly blended sky. The style is reminiscent of John Gould, known for ornithological illustrations.
