The image depicts a frontal view of a classical relief on a large stone monument. The background shows a high horizon with mountains and distant buildings. In the relief, two figures in robes approach an allegorical figure seated next to the monument. Near the monument, there are ancient columns, stone fragments, and foliage. Further back, a hillside leads to a distant landscape with figures under a tree on the left and more architectural structures on the right. The background features mountains under a sky with linear brushstrokes. The color palette is monochromatic, with line variations conveying depth, form, and texture, typical of an etching technique.
