This is a drawing of a scene featuring celestial figures and a soldier. A muscular, radiant figure is ascending from a tomb or pedestal. The central figure wears flowing garments, a sash, and holds a flag-like object high. Cherubic figures surround him, with one aiding in the ascent and another leaning over a solid stone structure. A Roman-style soldier in armor and cloak, with a distinctive helmet, stands with one arm raised protectively, gazing upwards. Two prone figures lie at his feet. The composition is rendered in sepia tones, with vivid contrasts and intricate lines capturing a sense of motion and narrative.
