Artist, German, 1712 - 1774

The etching depicts a landscape with figures walking on a path. A man on a mule, accompanied by another person on foot and a dog, is moving to the right. A stone bridge leads to rocky terrain. Distant mountains and clouds mark the horizon. The fine lines detail trees, rock textures, and water. The black and white etching uses shading and line density to create depth. In the background, a statue stands on a hill, and trees and structures are visible.
