The image shows a scene with a large sailing ship dominating the foreground, located slightly left of center. In the background, there is a horizon where the calm water meets a line of blurred trees and windmills in the distance. The sky above is filled with textured clouds rendered in fine pencil-like strokes, creating an atmospheric effect. The color palette is monochrome with shades of gray. Closest to us, there is a small group of people gathered on a stone bank on the left, with others seen aboard the ship and in smaller boats nearby.
