The image shows a coastal town situated on a rocky cliff overlooking a calm sea. A large fortress-like structure stands on top of the cliff. The town's buildings are densely packed, creating narrow alleys and tile roofs. The scene is depicted through precise lines in a lithograph style with a monochromatic palette of sepia tones. Small boats are visible in the sea, and a staircase on the right leads up to the fortification.
