The image shows a windmill scene with a high horizon line and a large portion of the sky visible. Dark clouds are above the windmill, and the brushstrokes are detailed, capturing textures of different elements. The color palette is monochromatic with black and sepia tones. The ground appears muddy with reflecting puddles. The windmill, with sails angled diagonally, dominates the composition. A figure on horseback is moving away towards a cart loaded with goods. Trees, birds in flight, and a serene atmosphere complete the scene.
