The image depicts two individuals from the waist up. One person, on the left, is seated and cradling the other person in their arms. The person on the left is wearing a veil over their head, obscuring much of their hair, with closed eyes facing slightly downward. They are enveloped in a heavy cloak or robe. The person on their lap has closed eyes, facial hair, including a beard, and slightly curly, shoulder-length hair. Their upper body is partially exposed, showing the chest and arms, with a wound on the hand. Both individuals have halos above their heads. The background consists of artistic line work enhancing the figures in the foreground.
