This is a medieval execution scene. An individual tied to a wooden beam is held aloft by two smaller beams, with his hands extended to either side. Armored figures and mounted soldiers surround the scene. The soldiers are equipped with spears and other weapons, some are on horseback. In the background, there are hills, fortress-like structures, and banners or crests. The clothing and armor are detailed and the composition is well-organized.
