The brushwork uses soft strokes creating a wash effect for a hazy, atmospheric appearance. The monochromatic palette of gray tones adds a tranquil feel. Silhouetted figures are seen walking on a path, with a textured landscape of trees and foliage. The scene extends to show more simplified figures under trees, rolling hills, and distant rural buildings.
