The image shows a scene with figures on the left side and on horseback under a tree on the right side. The horizon is low, aligning with the heads of the figures on foot. Loose brushstrokes or charcoal markings create a sketch-like appearance. The color palette is limited to shades of black, gray, and pale blue. Shadowing partially obscures closer figures, while distant ones are simplified.
