This print shows an older man from the waist up, his body facing the left and his head turned toward us. He has light skin and strong facial features with deep-set eyes, pronounced wrinkles, curly, light-colored, shoulder-length hair, a thin mustache, and a beard in a vertical line from his mouth to his chin. He is wearing a small black cap and is dressed in a formal garment with a high white color and buttons down the front. The background is tan paper, with some shading on the left and right. Text below the portrait reads "Salomon de Bray, Schilder en Bouwmeester, tot Haerlem."
