The image shows a group of male figures gathered in a classical setting. One figure has his back turned toward the viewer facing a seated elderly man with a long beard. The central character is shirtless, wearing only a loincloth and carrying a staff. Another central figure with long hair stands next to him. Other figures surround them, some dressed in robes and others in Roman-style helmets holding spears. Various expressions are visible on their faces. The scene is in shades of blue with an architectural column and draped fabric in the background, suggesting an indoor setting. A building-like structure is visible outside through an opening. A small dog is lying near the seated figure. The sketch-like image shows detailed lines and shading that give depth to the characters and surroundings.
