The image shows two women, both depicted with only their upper bodies visible. The woman on the left stands with her side facing forward, her head turned slightly away, with arms bent at the elbows resting on her hips. She has her hair styled in an updo. She appears to be wearing a corset or similar undergarment, partially wrapped in a loosely draped fabric around her waist. The second woman, seated just behind the first, also only visible from the torso up, leans slightly back, her face angled slightly upwards, giving a clearer view of her facial features, and her hair also styled up. She has a loose robe or garment draped over her shoulders. The surrounding area is sparsely furnished, with what appears to be a table nearby holding small items, such as a bottle and possibly a dish, against a backdrop of vertical lines suggestive of wood paneling. The sketched background remains simple, defined by linework that conveys a sense of space without specific embellishments.
