Artist, American, born Russia (now Latvia), 1903 - 1970

The image depicts a landscape with rolling hills viewed from an elevated angle. The horizon is suggested by flowing lines forming distant hill silhouettes, positioned in the upper third of the image. The style features loose black ink lines showcasing the undulating terrain with minimal detail. Closest are wave-like lines indicating vegetation or terrain, with simplistic indications of structures further back. The color palette is limited to beige paper and black ink, creating a monochromatic visual impact.
