The image shows a harbor with a cityscape in the background. Ships with tall masts and various buildings are visible, including one with a prominent spire. The brushstrokes are loose and fluid, typical of watercolor technique. The color palette is dominated by muted earth tones, with shades of blue and gray blending into the beige paper. The city appears shrouded in mist in the distance, while grass and an incomplete dock structure are suggested in the foreground.
