Associated Names
Alexander Calder

Artist, American, 1898 - 1976

The sculpture consists of geometric shapes. It has a tall central pillar made of a dark, possibly metal material with a glossy black finish. Two triangular white shapes extend horizontally from the pillar's top. Above these triangles is a circular disc painted in a vivid blue color, also seeming to be metal. The sculpture sits on a large flat triangular base that extends forward in a bright orange hue. The colors and shapes give the sculpture a bold and dynamic appearance.
