This is a drawing of an architectural column with an ornate top decorated with fantastical elements. The column twists upwards and ends in a intricately designed top with a shell-like scroll element. In the curve is a small figure or creature. A stylized wing or feather motif extends from the figure. Above them, a small burning lamp emits rays of light. The drawing is executed in a loose, sketchy style using dark lines on a light background.
