The image depicts a person standing with one foot forward, facing away from the viewer. The individual is holding a large round shield with their right hand. They are wearing a helmet with a plume and decorative carvings, and have a muscular back. A cape drapes over their left shoulder and back, with its folds caught in the wind. They have a garment around their waist with ties down the back and a short sword attached. The background shows a detailed landscape with soldiers or figures in action, set against a cloudy sky. The ground is rocky with trees and foliage on the left side of the image.
