This drawing is a sketch of a group of buildings seen from an elevated perspective. The view is mostly occupied by the structures, which have intricate arches and tall, pointed roofs. At the bottom, below the buildings, are low stone walls, pathways, and the silhouettes of people in cloaks standing near two dark, arched doorways. The drawing is done in pale gray lines against off-white paper, and it has a hazy, blurred quality.
