The image displays a pastoral scene with lush vegetation. Sturdy trees are in the foreground, leading the eye towards ruins of an architectural structure in the distance. The horizon is higher in the composition above the trees bordering the ruins. Detailed etching techniques emphasize textures of bark, leaves, and grasses, as well as the stonework. The color palette is monochromatic with sepia tones. Sheep are grazing amidst the grassy areas beneath the trees, adding life and movement to the landscape.
