Artist, Venetian, 1697 - 1768

The image is viewed from a straight-on perspective of an architectural structure with an engraved facade displaying text. The horizon is not clearly defined as the architectural elements dominate the upper part of the scene, with a large plaque at the center. The style features finely detailed etching, visible in the shading, line work, stone textures, and foliage. The color palette is monochromatic, using shades of black and white. Stone steps lead to the structure, where two figures are depicted. In the distance, there are silhouettes of domes, spires, and columns above a wall, suggesting a cityscape.
