Europe, before 1924.[1] United States; acquired 1991 by (Anthony Roth Fine Arts, London); purchased 27 July 1992 by NGA.
[1] The work was published in 1924, with no location identified, by A.E. Brinckmann in Barock-Bozzetti: Italian Sculptors, vol. 2, Frankfurt-am-Main, 1924: pls. 1-2. A location in Europe prior to this publication is assumed by the fact that the author, who was working in Rome, was able to obtain photographs.
