Artist, Venetian, 1697 - 1768

The image shows an aerial view of a canal with traditional buildings on both sides. A church with a tall spire is on the right, and grand residential structures are on the left. Small boats with figures are in the water, and individuals are walking along the shoreline. The scene is detailed using etching techniques with a monochromatic color palette of black and white. The sky has delicate cloud formations drawn with swirling lines.
