This is a photograph of a gold medallion with heraldic symbols. The medallion is circular with elaborate engravings. In the center are two crossed maces with ornamental tops and a vertical sword with a plumed helmet behind it. There is a beaded border around the perimeter, and an inscription reading "DVO PROTEGIT VNVS" with the year "1598" at the bottom. The medallion has a loop at the top for attachment or display.

The craftsmanship captures fine details in both the facial features and the clothing.
