This is a photograph of a medallion with engravings of multiple sailing ships surrounded by waves. The ships are detailed, with masts and sails, depicted closely together in a fleet. Inscriptions in Latin surround the edge of the medallion. The metal surface reflects light and there is a small hole at the top.

The image shows a round medallion with an intricate relief image. The medallion features two seated figures in flowing robes, one holding an object and the other playing a stringed instrument. Below them is a smaller human figure looking up at them. Modest foliage details are on either side of the figures. The medallion is made of a metallic material, possibly bronze, with a dark, burnished appearance and highlights. A circular border frames the figures, engraved with Latin inscriptions. The medallion is meant to be closely examined for its artwork and inscriptions.
