The image is an etching depicting a landscape from a slightly elevated point of view. The horizon line is positioned high, where the land meets the sky. There are indistinct shapes suggesting distant groves or hills along the horizon. Two donkeys stand on the right side of the image on a grassy area. The scene extends to a landscape filled with trees and shrubs, rendered with cross-hatched brushstrokes creating texture and depth. The color palette consists of varying intensities of a single earthy tone. Etching marks vary in intensity, adding movement and vitality to the scene.
