The image displays a view from a slightly elevated perspective of a densely forested area. There are two figures, one seated on a rock with an attentive posture and another blending into the foliage, accompanied by a deer. A baby lies on the ground near the figures. The brush strokes create intricate textures of the forest, with leaves, branches, and light intertwined. The horizon is obscured by trees rising over the scene, with a monochrome color palette of dark browns and blacks contrasted with lighter highlights. Bird can be seen in the sky, and rocky formations are visible to the right.
