Painter, French, 1864 - 1901

In the center of this painting, there is a horse-drawn cart turned away from us, facing the right. In the cart is a person wearing dark blue clothing and a dark hat, and next to them is a white-and-pink bundle that could be another person. The cart is pulled by a grey-blue horse, and another person stands in front the horse, wearing gray clothing and tall black boots. The rest of the painting is filled with swirls of brown and different shades of green, giving the impression of dense foliage. The brushstrokes in the painting are thick and visible, especially those that paint that background. At the bottom of the painting, some light marks have been made in the paint.
