Artist, Italian, c. 1480 - 1555 or 1558

This is an image of a rural scene with a wooded landscape near a body of water. It shows two figures talking near a large tree, while another figure stands to the left holding a basin. A serene body of water extends to the background, bordered by rocky terrain on the left and buildings in the distance on the right. The drawing is detailed, with fine-lined natural and architectural elements. The textures of the tree, rocks, and hills are captured through delicate lines, reminiscent of etched or engraved art. The name "BENEDETTO MONTAGNA" is inscribed in the upper left corner.
