The image shows a profile view of the upper half of a man, facing left. He is depicted in a seated position with his head turned to the side. The man has strong, defined features with a prominent nose and a thick, full beard and mustache. His hair is styled in a straight, shoulder-length cut with a center parting. He is wearing a garment with a wide, rounded collar and visible stitching. The background is plain and features a coat of arms at the top left corner with architectural elements and stylized text “Albrecht Dürers Contrefeyt” above the figure.
