Associated Names
Rembrandt van Rijn

Artist, Dutch, 1606 - 1669

The image shows a landscape with a cluster of trees and foliage. The horizon is low, mostly hidden by the trees. A small structure is seen on the right side, and the horizon is slightly visible in the far right. The artwork uses fine lines and cross-hatching to create texture in the foliage. The color palette is monochromatic, with varying shades of black on a light background. Darker lines define details closer to us, while lighter strokes suggest distance.
