This painting shows a variety of flowers in a decorative light orange vase. The flowers are of a variety of sizes and colors, including bright orange, blue, white, red, and pink, surrounded by green leaves and stems. The vase is positioned centrally at the bottom of the painting, with most of the tall flowers extending upwards to the top of the painting. Some flowers also drip down the sides of the vase or lie on the surface below. The surface and the wall behind the vase are both light brown. The orange vase appears to have shapes either carved or painted on it, but they are hard to identify. The lines in this painting are loose and sketch-like, and the colors have been applied similarly, sometimes bleeding out of the outlines of the flowers.

Drawings of bodies fill the left half of this vertical, parchment-colored paper, and writing fills the right half. The drawings and writing are in dark brown ink, and lines from the other side of the sheet show through, creating blurred forms. On the left, several nude male bodies are loosely drawn and appear upside down in this view. Their actions are indistinct but they gesture and turn. The right half is filled with horizontal lines of hand-written text and numbers. A vertical line splitting the two halves was presumably made when folded in half at some point in the sheet's history.

The image depicts a group of figures in a religious setting. The central figure is a seated woman holding a child who reaches out to another figure. The seated woman, likely the Virgin Mary, appears with subtle facial features and draped garments. The child she holds, likely Jesus, extends towards another child, possibly John the Baptist, held by a kneeling woman on the right side. Other figures in the scene include a kneeling man and at least two angelic figures above them, one of whom crowns the central figure. Additionally, there is a notable kneeling figure at the top left. Background elements include faint decorative designs.
