This painting depicts a woman seated in a tan chair. She is turned slightly to the left, and has light skin and short, wavy light brown hair. She has a small nose, thin lips, and dark eyes, and her face looks at us with a neutral expression. She is wearing a white dress with semi-transparent puffed sleeves. A gold brooch is fastened at the neckline of her dress. Her hands are intertwined in her lap. The background is a dark, muted green color.
