The image shows elongated, flowing shapes and curving lines intertwining in an abstract composition. The forms resemble a surreal interpretation of a musical instrument, potentially a lute or guitar, being held and played by fluid, humanoid figures. The abstract arrangement of elements conveys movement and harmony, while the figures' limbs and curvature evoke organic motion.

Arlequino

Omar Rayo · 1954 · graphite and oil on brown wove paper ·  Accession ID  2005.144.2

The image shows a series of vertical and horizontal black shapes with soft, uneven edges, creating a grid-like pattern against a lighter background. The abstract composition suggests shadows or silhouettes of tall structures or columns, resembling a darkened urban skyline or interior beams of a building. The interplay of dark and light areas creates the illusion of depth and perspective within the composition.

This is a drawing of multiple hands reaching towards the center of a circular surface. The artwork features hands positioned around the edge of the image, all reaching inward towards a dark, textured background. The hands are rendered with clear lines and minimal shading, standing out against the deep, cross-hatched surface.
