This is a painting of an outdoor gathering set in a pastoral landscape. A group of people dressed in soft, flowing garments are congregating under the trees, many of them sitting on the ground. Many of the people wear dresses and shawls in bright colors. The background displays a pastel-blue sky, tall leafy trees, and a serene green landscape that extends towards a distant horizon. On the far left appears to be the edge of a staircase or building, with one woman leaning against it with her back to us.
