This painting shows a woman standing in a room, her body slightly turned to the left and her head turned to face us. She has a fair complexion, arched dark eyebrows, a pointed nose, a high forehead, and curly hair in an updo under a short black headdress. She is wearing a black gown with white lace trim on the collar and sleeves and a cream-colored underskirt with gold embroidery. Her hands are in her skirt, holding bunches of black fabric. She stands next to a table on the left with various items on it, including a bowl of fruit, a silver pitcher, and a black tray. A chair is positioned behind her to the right, and a partially open door is visible in the background. The wall behind her is pale gray-blue, and the ground is tan.
