The image depicts a detailed engraving of a canal lock scene viewed from a slightly elevated perspective. Closest to the viewer are two boats in a canal, with one being guided through turbulent waters by two figures. The canal bank is built with neatly placed stones forming an embankment, and a path runs parallel to the canal where additional figures are engaged in various activities near buildings. A woman is walking along the path towards the scene. In the distance are several stone buildings with tiled roofs, one emitting smoke from its chimney. The scene suggests an industrial or residential setting. The background features a line of trees beyond the buildings. Birds are lightly depicted flying overhead in the sky, adding depth to the scene. The engraving style is precise and linear, using fine lines to detail textures like water, stone, and trees. The color palette is monochromatic, with various shades of gray and contrasting ink and paper defining elements, creating a classic, timeless quality.

This is a drawing of an ornamental frame surrounding text. The drawing features a decorative cartouche filled with intricate floral arrangements and embellishments surrounding the central text. The floral designs are elaborate, gracefully flowing into the edges of the frame. At the top, there are ornamental swirls and detailed depictions of flowers, while the lower section includes delicate foliage and what appears to be ribbons intertwined with the botanical elements. The text inside the cartouche provides the title "LE DELIZIE DEL FIUME BRENTA" and describes locations along the Brenta River, linking Venice and Padua. The piece is credited at the bottom to Gianfrancesco Costa.

The image displays a waterside town from a slightly elevated angle. The horizon is marked by buildings, including a church with a tall bell tower. The structures create a visual line along the horizon. The detailed etching style includes fine lines and cross-hatching for textures and depth. A monochromatic color palette of black and white emphasizes details. Closest to us, boats are moored with figures unloading goods. On the far shore, buildings and figures are present, including people leading horses and engaging in activities. In the background, a chimney emits smoke.
