The image shows an urban scene with buildings lining a narrow street. The sky is bright blue with a stylized building on the horizon line in white and light gray colors. In the foreground, there is a dark brown building with white brushstrokes for windows and a black pole. A yellow boxcar is on a track crossing the street. The brushwork is flat and clean, creating a graphic and abstract look. The color palette includes muted earth tones and pastel shades like yellow, light blue, gray, and red. The street extends into the distance with lighter colored buildings fading into the background.

The image shows wavy and draped shapes that look like theatrical curtains, dominating the scene. Swirling lines create an abstract visual effect. The flowing lines evoke the idea of curtains on a stage. The fabric-like forms cascade downwards like heavy drapery in an old theater. In the center, there are curling forms resembling a figure in motion, surrounded by swirling bands reminiscent of smoke or ribbons. Two torch-like shapes protrude from either side of the curtains, implying illumination within the setting.
