Franz Radziwill · 1922 · drypoint on cream wove paper ·  Accession ID  2020.77.1.6

This is a drawing of two abstract figures in a room with architectural elements. The drawing features two stylized, abstract figures that are engaged in an ambiguous activity. One figure is seated on a chair, partially turned away, while the other stands holding a comb or similar object to their head in a delicate posture. The space around them is defined by minimal lines suggesting architectural structures like windows, a balcony, or parapet. The lines create depth in the composition, while the simplistic detailing aligns the scene with abstraction. The figures have linear contours, suggesting motion within a static setting.
