From Her Body Came Their Greatest Wealth

Nona Faustine · 2013, printed 2025 · inkjet print ·  Accession ID  2026.19.1

The image shows an upper body view of a person, primarily focusing on their shoulders and head. The person is sitting, with their eyes closed and face tilted slightly upward. Their facial features are calm and relaxed, with smooth skin. They have hair styled in curlers, which are evenly placed around their head. The person appears to be unclothed above the shoulders, but they are holding a pillow with a floral pattern, featuring large daisy-like flowers. The pillow is held against their chest, partially covering them. The background is a plain, soft-toned surface, with no distinguishing features visible.
