    This painting shows a woman sitting on a couch, looking directly at us. She has a relaxed posture, with one arm on the back of the couch and the other on her knee. She has a fair complexion, rosy cheeks, a cleft chin, dark eyes, a slightly upturned mouth, and dark hair styled in an updo. She is dressed in an elegant gown with lace details, gold embellishments, and a pink rose at the center of her chest. The couch she sits on is a light gold color, and she is surrounded by three plush cushions in shades of white, red, and light pink, all with ornate designs in gold and lace. There is a textured gold curtain behind her, and on the ground is a tan rug patterned in abstract shapes in shades of dark red, orange, and light blue.
