The sketch depicts the upper body of a person in a loosely abstract style. The person is in a three-quarter pose facing slightly to the left. The facial features are strongly defined with bold lines, showcasing a prominent nose, deep-set eyes, and an intense expression. The hair is depicted with energetic strokes, appearing somewhat unkempt and spiky. The clothing consists of a jacket and a collared shirt, and there is a suggestion of a tie or similar garment at the neck. The background is plain, emphasizing the figure, and there is a signature on the left indicating "09/20/1915".

The face has exaggerated, geometric features including prominent brows, a broad nose, and full lips. The hair is depicted using textured lines. The person appears to be wearing a suit with a tie and lapel details, although simplified. A hand in the foreground suggests adjusting a tie.
