The image depicts a woman seated with an infant on her lap. The woman is facing slightly to the left with her head turned towards the viewer. She has a calm expression with large eyes, thin lips, and dark hair under a lace-trimmed cap. She wears a high-collared dress with buttons and a shawl around her shoulders. The infant gazes directly at the viewer, wearing a bonnet with light blue ribbons and a white dress with a gold necklace. The woman's hand rests on the child, with a gold ring on her finger. The background is a dark, textured tone with a decorative chair featuring green, leaf-like designs.
