Discover the sounds and history of the didgeridoo with Australian artist, performer, and educator Cameron McCarthy. Hear McCarthy demonstrate how the instrument mimics animal sounds such as the kookaburra and kangaroo and how these are used in storytelling across Indigenous cultures. Then learn about the didgeridoo’s application in contemporary music.

This program is meant for visitors of all ages.
