He faces the man in the middle, who is bald with a long beard and is leaning forward with his chin resting on his hand. The man on the left has a beard and a tall hat, looking towards the central figure. They wear robes with flowing designs. A draped curtain serves as a backdrop, and a dog stands near the table at the bottom right. Fine lines detail the scene, with the signature "Rembrandt f. 1654" visible at the bottom.
