Artist, American, 1890 - 1983

The image depicts an architectural scene with a large structure featuring an archway at its center. The composition does not show a horizon and the structure fills most of the frame. The archway leads to a staircase ascending beyond it. The brushstrokes are precise and linear, resembling etching or engraving techniques. The color palette is monochromatic, primarily in warm sepia tones. Nearby, there are trees and figures walking, and in the background, the building's façade has symmetrical windows and a worn texture.
