Associated Names
Auguste Rodin

Artist, French, 1840 - 1917

This painting shows a nude person standing with their back to us. They are drawn with simple lines, one hand on their hip and the other hand raised next to their head. Their legs are close together, with their feet crossed at the ankles. The person's brown hair is styled in a bun or pulled over one shoulder. The person's skin is mostly painted with a light peachy tone, but there are areas of dark, irregular spots that have the impression of discoloration. The background is plain beige paper. In the bottom right corner, there is handwritten text.
